Meetings of Foxrock and District Garden Club are usually held on the fourth Tuesday of each month (except June to August) when we have a visiting lecturer (nationally or internationally known, or of local interest), a plant table consisting of specimens from our members' gardens, a raffle, a library and of course the cup of tea and chat - the all-important social end to the evening.
Among our activities are visits to private and public gardens at home and abroad and an annual photo competition covering a number of categories; from the entries to this competition we choose one to be printed as notelets for sale and the proceeds from these and from the plant table are donated to charities of our members' choice.
Non-members are very welcome to attend most of our monthly meetings (September to May inclusive) for a nominal charge - usually €7 per meeting (€10 December meeting). Occasional meetings are ‘ticket-only’ for members and these are indicated on the event details on our Website.
